Papier mache

When I asked the class the other day what handouts they would like several students expressed an interest in Papier mache..paper pulp. So this has given me the excuse to update the presentation I made some time ago.
For many years I made my living in the film TV industry where I specialized in Polystyrene and Polyurethane foam carving. A few examples here

Very common in those days, a fantastic material for props and models. However particularly nasty to work with and rather toxic, A great alternative is to use paper pulp.

A great alternative is to use paper laminate and paper pulp.

I made this dragon for the school carnival with help of some of the children.
