Course Content

We will explore the work of artists known for their environmentally aware or ethical stance to making sculpture
Experiment with materials and techniques that have a minimal impact on the environment and are as much as possible sustainable.
Within this remit to explore and learn traditional and modern sculpture techniques processes and practice.
Including at least one day trip a year to source materials from nature or forage for scrap. Wood, the most readily available and greenest of all materials, can be found in Parks and Wood land, Skips, or drift wood from the beach. 

What materials you will need for the course and estimated cost
We will source natural and sustainable materials such as Wood, Soapstone or Clunch from indigenous or local sources wherever possible.
We will recycle materials such Clay, Papier mache' and scrap.
Explore the use of found objects.
Employ casting techniques that use latex rubber alginate or gelatine and avoid synthetic silicon rubbers resins and toxic chemicals.
